The Lock Up Self Storage paired up with the Collier County Sheriff’s office in Florida to host the 2nd annual Safe Communities Event on October 9th, 2014. Community members gathered at The Lock Up Self Storage on Piper Blvd in North Naples for an evening of safety education, music, food and fun.
As a proud supporter of community safety, the Lock Up Self Storage feels this event was a great way to invite the community to learn more about how they can maintain Collier County’s excellent low crime rate while also getting to know their local law enforcement. Over 1000 people from the surrounding neighborhoods came together to mingle with local businesses and law enforcement.
All of the festivities were free of charge and included demonstrations from local law enforcement such as the K-9 unit, SWAT Bearcat, the North Naples Fire Department, Traffic Motorcycles, Crime Prevention unit, the DARE Car, and the Mobile Crime Scene Lab. These demonstrations proved to be a great way for people to learn more about how law enforcement works to keep them safe, and for them to interact and ask questions. Along with all the entertaining and educational demos, there was also a bounce house for the kids and area restaurants donated their talents to provide free food.
The Lock Up Self Storage goes above and beyond when it comes to ensuring the safety of their tenants and their belongings. Being able to host this event gave us the opportunity to reach out to the community at large and showcase our dedication to everyone’s safety in the North Naples and surrounding areas.
